About Us

As a 'Blackcountry girl' I grew up surrounded by home cooked food! Hot pork sandwiches with crunchy crackling, Faggots and Peas (or Faggots and Pays if you are local to me), lashings of Bread Pudding and Groaty Dick! I have always loved my food, my waistline not so much! but as i mature, gracefully or disgracefully I recognised the gap within the market locally for quality food to go and for events, so when we had the opportunity to develop the space within The Courtyard we could not miss out on the opportunity. We are situated in The Courtyard next to Little Bloomers Florist which was founded by my wife. We are an outdoor coffee kiosk. You can sit beneath the canopy and enjoy the surroundings whilst indulging in some cake. We offer this alongside our catering services. We cater for all private events such as christenings, birthdays and weddings as well as for corporate business. We are now also fully licenced and offer a selection of alcohol alongside our gift packages as well as cocktails in the summer months and baileys coffee in the colder months. Exclusive hire of The Courtyard is available on request.

We have a huge vision for our businesses and will begin rolling out our plans as we continue to mature organically. If you are not near us we hope that one day we will be able to attend an event near you so you get to taste our goods!

Coffee & Cake-

Our famous brownies and sweet treats to eat within The Courtyard or take home. We have an undercover, heated seating area that is cosy for the winter months and open seating for the summer rays! You can pre- order online if you would prefer for delivery/ collection or pop down! We are open Monday- Friday 9am- 5pm and Saturday 9am-3pm.

Catering-

We offer private catering for buffets, grazing boards and grazing tables for funerals, birthdays, corporate lunches, parties and other celebrations . Our buffets are from £12pp. This includes free delivery to your venue. We also offer our small, intimate, private courtyard room for baby showers, hen dos, birthdays or for a celebration of life. Room hire is free of charge with any of our dining packages. Afternoon Tea, Cream Teas, Sandwiches and Scones, traditional buffet or a grazing table of sweet and savoury bites. Our room is suitable for up to fifteen guests indoor only and up to seventy guests both indoor and outdoor. We are licenced to sell alcohol.

Events-

We work in partnership with our neighbours at Little Bloomers Florist to offer packages for corporate events, team building, baby showers, friends or hen dos where you can have the space, food of your choice from ourselves and a floristry workshop where you take home what you create! Artisan & Makers Markets

We have lots of events in our diary where we are coming to a town near you! We want everyone to experience our bakes no matter how near or far you are from us! If you would like us to appear at a market or event please drop us a message and we will do our very best to accommodate. Dependant on accessibility and products we are able to stock we may require electric hook up.

How it all started?

Pickle Pantry, Mansfield Woodhouse began in October 2022 from humble beginnings'. I have always been business minded and previously had my own business. I moved to Mansfield and began working for Emma at Little Bloomers Florist. I started working for Emma as an apprentice florist. Covid struck and lockdown changed every part of both of our lives and business. Emma always spoke about how she would like to progress and together we discussed our personal goals and dreams, but Emma never thought we would have the opportunity to grow where the shop was situated. In 2022 our lives transformed. We became partners in life and later in business. We were given the opportunity to live on site and have the sole use of The Courtyard to trade from and grow the business within Mansfield Woodhouse. Life was fun, exciting and we knew this was just the beginning. As a partnership we decided to evolve and manage our own businesses whilst supporting each other. We both felt this would ensure we have a driving force behind each of them and the time to focus and manage both efficiently, giving them both the time, they require whilst not compromising the service or quality to our customers. You will see us both supporting each other and often crossing over to work together. We both have a passion for food, flowers, sustainability, quality and supporting the growth of business locally. Therefore, having similar values allows us to use our skills where they are best fit over both businesses.

We wanted to offer a space within the community of Mansfield Woodhouse for locals to drop in for cake, coffee and flowers. A place that shows the work of local crafters, makers and suppliers. Supporting other local businesses. The Courtyard supports lots of local businesses already, and we plan to expand this further in the future. Our future goal is to grow naturally. We want to ensure our customer experience is not compromised in upscaling the business further.
